This position challenges the successful candidate to display their skills in both sales and management. A strong understanding of gas and oil markets is required.

Responsibilities: |
- Learn and understand the Welker product line and applications
- Proactively work with Manufacturer’s Representatives to develop and grow existing and new territory business through focusing on training, joint target account efforts, and alignment of company goals and objectives with the Representatives
- Monitor and evaluate Representatives’ sales performance as related to the market potential of their territory and the forecast for the territory
- Offer technical support to Representatives and customers
- Prepare annual sales forecasts, market potential and territory strategies as required by sales management
- Achieve or exceed planned sales levels within region; ensure service and quality targets are met while continuing to strive toward stretch targets
- Work closely with Marketing on defining company follow-up and reporting
- Work closely with Manufacturer’s Reps to ensure lead quality and proper follow-up
- Work closely with peers to make recommendations on process improvements
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement on the areas of process efficiency and productivity
- Effectively work and communicate with internal sales resources and customers to facilitate conflict issues, returns, credit or other sales-related issues within company policy and practice
- Participate in national and regional trade shows in accordance with the account or target market strategy with the objective of maintaining or improving customer relationships and prospecting for new business

Qualifications: |
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience
- Strong mix of sales skills including finding and qualifying customers, assessing customer needs, preparing proposals, building relationships and developing new business
- Excellent follow-through and organizational skills with a highly developed sense of urgency and prioritization ability
- A natural forward planner who critically assesses one’s own performance
- Strong written and verbal skills with all levels of employees and customers
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and be able to learn the Welker ERP software
- Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and performance
- Effective and penetrating questioning and listening skills in order to align a tactical approach with the strategic goals
- Be able to reach decision makers within the Representative organizations, while setting realistic performance benchmarks tied to revenue goals
- A mechanical/technical aptitude
- Strong analytical skills
- 3-5 years working in the oil & gas industry is preferred

Salary: |
- Starting salaries range from $40,000 to $55,000
- Determined by experience, education and potential
