Mechanical Drafter

   Full Time - Hourly Position
   
Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain machine and assembly drawings
  • Alert engineering department of errors or discrepancies with new or red-line drawings
  • Perform work in an orderly and expedient manner to complete on or before its due date(s)
  • Maintain organization of all CAD files
  • Understand and apply computer systems & processes necessary for drafting administration (e.g. filing & retrieval of drawings and related backup)
  • Plan and manage an effective balance between drafting and related administrative duties
  • While this description endeavors to cover the major and fundamental aspects of responsibilities for this position, it will be understood that at any given time, this position can be called upon to work in any capacity and in any area of the company that management feels this person is capable of handling; due to need or emergency.
   
Qualifications:
  • Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in mechanical drafting and recent versions of AutoCAD.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Be able to quickly learn the Welker ERP software
  • Must be a self-motivated and a detail-oriented drafter
  • Possess a professional work attitude
  • Solid general knowledge of details, methods and layouts used in the drafting component/parts drawings and engineering graphic presentations relevant to a manufacturing environment
   
Salary:
  • Starting hourly ranges from $10 to $16
  • Determined by experience, potential and education
